Dr Sharma, born in 1974, holds a BSc (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, an MSc (Communication and Systems Engineering), and a PhD (Wireless Network Planning) from the University of Bristol, UK, and is a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council, UK.
A Fellow of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD), Dr. Sharma has been a board member of the MIoD. Courts Mammouth Mauritius Ltd. and Globefin Management Services Ltd. a member of the strategic advisory committee of the Port Louis Development Initiative (PLDI).
An advocate for a greener public transportation system with a keen interest in electric vehicles, he is currently a member of the National Road Safety Council.
